Catchment The geographical area which catches and drains water to a given point or points.
Catchment group A stakeholder group (including local and state government, industry, business, and community members) that plan to implement ICM.

Eutrophication The process caused by an increase in the nutrient status of a body of water. Occurs naturally with increasing age of a waterbody, but more rapidly as a by-product of human activity.
Integrated Catchment Management Is the planning and management of natural resources on a river or ground water catchment basis to achieve sustainable use which provide for social and economic benefit.
Natural resource management Ecologically sustainable management of land, water and biodiversity resources (does not include mineral or marine resources).
Riparian zone Any land which adjoins, directly influences or is influenced by a body of water.
Stakeholders Community members, businesses or government authorities who have a stake in an issue or are affected by a project.
Sustainable development Development that considers both the economy, environment and the needs of future generations.
