"Business Plans" and Developing Actions for the Geographic Reference Groups

The Business Plans outline the actions the geographic reference groups agree to take to implement solutions to issues that they have flagged.

The Geographic Reference Group Business Plans are an important document as they list all of the issues and the targets the groups have and outline how they hope to achieve the goals outlined within the Strategic Overview in the different parts of Perth.

The timeframes outlined to achieve the targets are prioritised in accordance with the Perth Region NRM Business Plans, therefore creating a 'work plan' for the geographical reference groups. The Business Plans will be reviewed every year, and progress will be documented.

To develop a clear set of actions, the geographical reference groups will need to come to agreement on the best course of action to deal with NRM issues that arise. Some actions might not be so obvious, and will need further expertise to refine and define them. In this case, an NRM issue may be referred to a theme based reference group; or relevant experts are invited to the following geographical reference group meeting for more informed discussion on the issue.
